Welcome to our cabin; we love it here, and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do. It will sleep up to 10, with two double bedrooms upstairs, a master bed and bath on the main level and kids rumpus room and bunk beds downstairs. The cabin is newly furnished and very well equipped. There is a foosball table, air hockey, TV for videos and DVDs (no cable) and lots of games and puzzles to keep everyone well entertained. The heating is subfloor and there is a gas fireplace in the main living room.
Serene Lakes is a beautiful area and whether winter or summer, there is always plenty to see and do.

In winter this area has more snow than anywhere else in North America. The skiing is fabulous; 10 minutes to Sugar Bowl for downhill, and cross country at Royal Gorge is just a short walk from the cabin. The frozen lakes look absolutely beautiful at that time of year, and we have various sleds and toboggans for the kids among us! The town of Truckee is 15 minutes away over the pass, and Squaw Valley, Northstar, and Alpine Meadows are within half an hour.

In the summer we do lots of biking and hiking on the many trails, and the lakes become a magnet for swimming and kayaking. (There are kayaks and bikes in the garage which you are welcome to use). The cabin is about a five minute walk from the lakes.

Access to The Pacific Crest Trail is within minutes of the cabin.

If you time it right from the East Bay, it's only a two and a half hour journey door to door (unless you make an almost compulsory stop at "Ikeda's" in Auburn for one of their legendary pies).
